PHRYGIA, Laodicea in alliance with Smyrna. Time of Claudius. Circa AD 50-54. Æ 28mm (8.18 g). Laureate heads of the Demoi of Laodicea and Smyrna vis à vis / Zeus Laodikenos standing left, holding eagle and sceptre. Franke-Nollé 1198 (dies A/17) = RPC I 2912.8; SNG Copenhagen 613; BMC p. 324, 263. Fine, brown patina. Scarce.
